You will process applications for all licensing in Terms of Licensing (Scot) Act 1976, the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005, Gaming Act 2005, Gambling Act 2005, the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982, and any Act which may supersede the foregoing and sundry other licensed in line with Force procedures. You will also deputise for the Divisional Licensing Officer in his/her absence and to assist where required with other duties, commensurate with the grade in the Divisional Support Unit as and when required.

You'll be educated to SQA Higher grade level (or equivalent) – with clerical/administrative experience – more significant experience if you don't have qualifications. This post is temporary for 6 months.

Applicants must be a British citizen, a member of the EU or other states in the EEA, a Commonwealth citizen or a foreign national free of restrictions. You should also have been resident in the UK for a minimum of three years immediately prior to application. In certain circumstances, it is possible for the minimum residency period for vetting to be waived. This can only be done where it is possible to make, or confirm, in the relevant jurisdictions with local Law Enforcement and National Security bodies, which are equivalent, and of a similar standard, to enquiries which would be made in the UK, on both the applicant and all family members and associates. In cases where it is not possible to makes the equivalent checks, the residency criterion will be stringently enforced.
